After a successful first season, the Ackerman Center Podcast has launched a second season with a new series: “A Year in the Third Reich.” Developed by Dr. Sarah Valente, visiting assistant professor of the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies, the new season will devote one episode to each year that Adolf Hitler was in power, starting with the year 1933. “The idea is for us to think about the yearly progression of events and to explore how the population understood what was happening around them,” she said. The episodes are approached without hindsight and focused on the experiences of those who were living in Europe at the time.
The podcasts can be accessed at Anchor and everywhere podcasts are available, by searching for “Ackerman Center Podcast.”
