UT Dallas’ School of Arts and Humanities recently recognized three Comets for their dedication and service to the University. Carlos Palomino (top), Sydney Taylor (middle) and Amanda Field (bottom) were honored during a recent staff and faculty meeting.
Carlos Palomino, senior software systems specialist, received the Jo Ellen Roach Staff of the Year Award. He was lauded for his computer support as staff and faculty have worked remotely during the pandemic. Also receiving the Jo Ellen Roach Staff of the Year Award was academic advisor Sydney Taylor, who was praised for her empathy and patience with students seeking advice and support. Amanda Field, a PhD candidate in humanities, was named the Victor Worsfold Teaching Assistant of the Year. Field supports the Rhetoric 1302 course and was applauded for her classroom management and leadership.
