A senior history major has been awarded $500 and an opportunity to share his research as part of the Undergraduate Research Scholar Award program (URSA). Seth Ritchie, who is majoring in historical studies, minoring in Spanish, and on the pre-med track, has been working with Dr. Monica Rankin on her research into the Office of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs (OCIAA). That U.S. government agency was charged with countering Italian and German propaganda in Latin America. Ritchie specifically researched OCIAA’s public health initiatives. The URSA virtual poster competition will be held in late April.
