The University of Texas at Dallas Office of Development and Alumni Relations and The Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, & Technology at UT Dallas will host industry-leading experts in animation, UX design, and emerging technologies for a panel discussion and networking event on March 28, 5:30 pm-7:30 pm.

In celebration of this year’s Comet-Con, the Creative Careers Alumni-Student Networking Night will not only feature a panel discussion with three Dallas-based professionals who excel in creative careers and industries – led by Bass School Dean Dr. Nils Roemer – at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center, but also provide a unique opportunity for attendees to network with these industry leaders.

The panelists—Jonathan Campos (`03), Steve Lumley, and Deb Gelman—will share their industry knowledge, which is directly applicable to the creative careers and industries that many of our students and alumni are interested in. Dean Nils Roemer will moderate the panel. Their insights will inspire up-and-coming creative Comets as they embark on their professional journey. All panelists are members of the Dean’s Council that supports the Bass School.

Comet-Con, an annual UT Dallas tradition coordinated by the Student Union & Activities Advisory Board (SUAAB), embodies the University community’s passion for fiction and pop culture entertainment.

During this Comic-Con spinoff, the UT Dallas community will have the chance to immerse themselves in comic book, anime, and video game culture. The day will feature various activities, including cosplay competitions, hosting speakers, gaming opportunities, fan-art sales, giveaways, and more, providing something for everyone to enjoy.
