University To Honor Distinguished Alumni at Awards Gala

UT Dallas will celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of its alumni at the 2022 UT Dallas Awards Gala on Saturday, Feb. 12. This prestigious event will honor 10 outstanding individuals whose achievements and support have left a lasting impact on the University and their respective fields. Among the recipients are innovative local business leaders, top health professionals, and groundbreaking researchers and educators.

One of this year’s honorees is Arts and Humanities alum Suzanne Cole, who graduated with dual degrees in Biology and Art & Performance in 1999. Now a highly respected medical oncologist, Suzanne serves as medical director of the Simmons Cancer Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center. After earning her MD at UT Southwestern, she spent nearly a decade delivering compassionate care to patients in local communities. Since joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018, she has founded the Hematology & Oncology Women Physician Group, further demonstrating her dedication to advancing healthcare and mentorship.
