The University of Texas at Dallas has been selected to participate in a music exchange program with the Conservatory of Music in Malaga, Spain. The exchange program commenced after the conservatory received an Erasmus grant from the European Union. UT Dallas is the first exchange partner in North America.
The program window will last until July 2023. Initial exchanges will be for a one- week stay, with air fare and lodging included — paid from the grant in Spain. Areas of interest could include classical guitar studies, music composition, and jazz lab band. Initial proposed faculty exchange dates are for fall semester 2021 UTD-Malaga, and Spring 2022 Malaga-UTD. To participate, Spanish language skill are recommended.
