The School of Arts and Humanities has been selected to host a major conference for the Society for Photographic Education. The society’s South Central Regional Conference will meet on campus October 20-30. Embracing Change is the title of the conference, which will explore the rapid changes in photographic practice, relating to web, video, performance, installation, and interactive environments. Through dialogue and exchange, the aim is to foster an understanding of the connections shared by creative professionals and scholars working in areas such as contemporary art, social media, commercial photography, video, and education. An exhibition of works by members and students will be on display in the SP/N Gallery through Nov. 13.
