The Anechoic Chamber and Transmedia Studio (ACTS) is an experimental space and home to a range of creative research projects created by graduate and undergraduate students. The lab is equipped with a wide range of creative technologies. The soundproof chamber enables rapid prototyping and iteration of adventurous ideas and projects. Research areas include creative explorations of artificial intelligence, live streaming, transmedia performance, and the nature and limits of creativity and technology.
The lab is also home to performance group Therefore which creates live art and technology experiences for audiences in major arts venues as well as online via live streaming.
