Dance Residency Program and the UTDance Ensemble
Connect, create, and perform alongside world-class dance artists.
Dance Residency Program
The Dance Residency Program at UT Dallas brings together professional choreographers and student dancers to collaborate, create, and perform. Lasting between two and eight weeks, residencies offer students a unique opportunity to refine their artistry through intensive training and mentorship.
Resident artists set choreography for the UTDance Ensemble, teach masterclasses, and share insights through lectures and demonstrations. Each residency culminates in a live concert where guest artists and students perform together, showcasing original works and collaborative creativity.
Past resident artists include:
- Lawrence Goldhuber – NYC
- Matt Kent – Pilobolus Too, CT
- Jennifer Mabus – Battleworks Dance Company, NYC
- Anne Bunker – OTO Dance, AZ, HI
- Lily Cai Dance Company – San Francisco, CA
