Dance Residency Program and the UTDance Ensemble
World-class dance artists set choreography, teach master classes, lecture and perform in concert alongside our student dancers through the School of Arts and Humanities Dance Residency Program
Dance Residency Program
The Dance Residency Program at UTD brings professional dancemakers and students together in the creation and performance of dance. Lasting between two to eight weeks, resident artists set works for the UTDance Ensemble, teach masterclasses and offer lecture demonstrations. Residencies culminate in a live production with the guest artist/company and UTD students sharing the stage in performance.
Resident artists have included:
- Lawrence Goldhuber (NYC)
- Matt Kent – Pilobolus Too (CT)
- Jennifer Mabus – Battleworks Dance Company (NYC)
- Anne Bunker – OTO Dance (AZ, HI)
- Lily Cai Dance Company (SF, CA)
- Renana Raz (TLV)
- Birgitt Bodenbauer & Simone Grindel (Berlin, GE)
- Kerry Kreiman – Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth (TX)
- Dallas Black Dance Theater (TX)
