Join the excitement of campus life and represent UT Dallas with pride by playing in the UTD Pep Band! This dynamic ensemble brings energy and school spirit to athletic events, campus celebrations, and performances in the greater Dallas area. As one of the most visible groups on campus, the Pep Band performs at men’s and women’s home basketball games, women’s volleyball games, and events like National Night Out, Scholars’ Day, and Homecoming.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the Pep Band allows members to balance their passion for music with academic success. Most participants are non-music majors who enjoy the camaraderie and creativity of the ensemble without the extensive time commitment often associated with high school bands.

Instruments include flute, piccolo, clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, bari sax, trumpet, French horn (marching French horn), trombone, bass trombone, euphonium/baritone (marching baritone), tuba (sousaphone), bass guitar, and drum set.
