RHET 6320 – Academic Writing Across the Disciplines
In this course you will discuss the challenges of academic writing and will learn flexible approaches to manage academic writing and revision. Through researching peer-reviewed publications in your field and practicing weekly writing, you will come away with a better understanding of the demands of writing in your academic discipline and how to meet those demands.
HUMA 7390 – Writing for Public Humanities
This course will explore how you can translate your academic Humanities writing and research for public-facing audiences in places like libraries, museums, medical facilities, and other serious, non-academic spaces. Students will develop writing and revision skills to address the diverse needs of readers outside of the academy and will design a series of materials they can use for submissions to jobs, internships, and publications in the public Humanities sphere.
