History (MA)

Our MA program in History caters to both individuals seeking to deepen their understanding and expertise in historical analysis and those aspiring to pursue a doctorate in a related field. Students are presented with two distinct pathways: a research track and a professional track. Those with aspirations for doctoral studies are advised to opt for the research track.

History of Ideas (MA, PhD)

The History of Ideas program delves deeply into the realms of history and philosophy, exploring their intriguing intersection. While students will select either a history or philosophy emphasis, their academic journey will integrate both disciplines. Those leaning towards history will not solely concentrate on intellectual history; instead, their exploration will be enriched by philosophical reflections on the nature of interpretation, history, and knowledge. Similarly, students with a philosophy emphasis will not exclusively delve into the annals of philosophy; rather, their work will be enriched by understanding how historical context influences philosophical ideas.
