Dr. Janet Johnson, assistant professor of instruction in the School of Arts and Humanities, recently shared her knowledge of political rhetoric and social media with a group of visiting European officials. Johnson led a discussion at UT Dallas on political rhetoric, social media and the spread of misinformation/ disinformation. The gathering was part of the International Visitor Leadership Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Participants came from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Serbia and Sweden. The two-week-long Dallas event was themed, “Building Resilience by Identifying and Combating the Threats of Hybrid Warfare.”
