Event Space Requests

Classrooms, lecture halls, University Theatre and Jonsson Performance Hall are available at reasonable rates during non-peak periods of the year for events, workshops, or rehearsal spaces.

Rental Requirements
  • A signed contract with the Bass School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology; reviewed by the Bass School Events Team.
  • Organizations must submit proof of liability insurance at least 10 days prior to the event.
  • Payment: A deposit of 50% is due at confirmation of scheduling, the remaining rental fee is due 14 business days prior to the event, this includes labor costs and parking permits.
  • A tuning fee is required if a piano is used.
  • At least one university monitor on duty must be hired for any rental.
Important Details to Consider Regarding Our Spaces and Schedule
  • We do not rent to outside organizations during the busiest times of our academic program: November through early December / March through April.
  • The Bass School does not produce rental events or provide stage managers to call a show. Customers are required to handle their own production logistics and communicate any special needs to Bass School staff during the contracting process well before the date of the event.
  • Customers must provide their own front-of-house staff. If additional assistance is required, needs should be communicated during the contracting process.
  • The Bass School provides sound support for a fee. Use of our technicians is mandatory.
  • Customers are responsible for supervising all minors.
  • Only University Theatre is available for dancing.
  • Our Recording Services team can provide video and audio recordings (video options are dependent on the space). These services are subject to a fee and staff availability.
Rental Fees

Rental of performance venues requires a 3-hour minimum block. Prices are scaled and vary based on event location and size, please contact our Events Team for an estimate.

For Profit Events: Fees for spaces can be waived on the condition that the Bass School will receive at least 5% of the total revenue.

Subsidized Rates: These rates are available to current students. Students must work with their on-campus advisor and the student organization center to request/discuss discounted rates.

Note: For all-day rental requests for multiple days (such as recording sessions, conferences or workshops), the Bass School is willing to work with organizations to determine a daily flat fee.

ATC Lecture Hall (seats 1200):   $100 – 400/hour

Performance Hall (seats 180):   $100 – 300/hour

Theater (seats 283):   $100 – 300/hour

Large Rehearsal Rooms:   $75/hour

Green Rooms (individual classrooms):   $30/hour

Piano Tuning:   $200

Monitor on Duty (required):   $30/hour

Recording Fees

Media services are provided at a rate of:   $30/hour per engineer.

Video Editing:   $30
