Communication Studies

Communication Studies

Communication Studies incorporates theories, concepts and skills of oral, visual and mediated communication. It teaches students how to engage in critical thinking and problem solving, to participate effectively in meetings and in teams and to communicate competently in relationships and in public speaking contexts.

Critical Media Studies

Faculty in Critical Media Studies have expertise in disability studies, media theory, queer media, maker culture, critical play, education, global media, race and ethnicity, eco media, and popular culture.

Visual and Performing Arts & Design and Creative Practice

VPA students pursue an interdisciplinary study of the arts by selecting among courses in historical context, studio practice, performance ensemble, and ideas and interpretation of the arts. DCP offers students coursework in digital arts areas such as digital fabrication, projection mapping, new media art and performance, sound, time-based media, and video.
